As part of Friday’s Students at the Center: Personalized Learning with Habits of Mind official release, co-authors Bena Kallick and Allison Zmuda participated in a Webinar hosted by ASCD.
“We have received great feedback from friends and colleagues who have already read the book,” said Allison. “Anyone who has already read the book or who is planning to read the book, this Webinar provides great companion material.”
The on demand Webinar has been well received. The pair focused on the four attributes of personalized learning highlighted in the book: voice, co-creation, social construction, and self discovery. They explored practical examples and actions relevant to instructional leaders an educators, wherever they are on their personalized learning journey.

More About the Webinar:
A school’s culture must have a clear vision of how it includes and advocates for student voice; provide opportunities for students to co-create their learning experiences; develop students’ social construction by reaching out to all kinds of resources and expertise; and make certain that self-discovery becomes a driver of students’ metacognition.
